Gus is my rescue basset. His age is unknown, but he’s been my baby boy for 10.5 years. I rescued him from a kill shelter. He had heart worms, whip worms, hookworms, and appeared to come from an abusive home. My vet didn’t want to treat him because she didn’t think he’d make it through it, and if he did he wouldn’t live more than a year. Well Gus is a fighter and has proven them how much he wanted to be with me! He’s gone through heart worm treatment, three surgeries, and can still chase after squirrels. He enjoys sleeping, slobbering all over my walls, sleeping on my feet, and is the most gentle guy ever (unless you have chicken nuggets, he’ll take off a finger for those!! Thanks owner Rachelle!
